GBBD in Mid-January

This old asparagus is blooming in mid-January. It grows 10 years indoors and flowers some times a year, it doesn't care what season is: winter or summer. The white with yellow stamens flowers are small and fragrant.

The flowers are many on various branches. When the blooming ends red round fruit are everywhere.
The orchids flower as well,  not all of them, three - white one and two small ones sleep now. The red-purple one is my favorite, I love this color.

I've written about roses on a windowsill. They started growing buds in December and now both roses  'Ice Angel' are in bloom. The disease began as well, it was observed unexpectedly, so I sprayed them twice against aphids and spider mite.

The frost and snow is outside but the small green garden at home pleases me during the cold season. What indoors plant grow and flower in your place now?

In our home, there are (only) cut tulips and bought Primulas as splashes of colour now.

  11. It is good to have some colour inside during the winter time. I love the colour of the orchids as well.
No plants inside at the moment. I keep potted indoor plants in a shady spot outside during the hot summer months. It was 35C today!

  12. Hello Nadezda girl !
You have some very nice house plants to keep you company during these cold winter months .. can you believe I have none ? LOL .. I usually end up killing the poor things so I avoid buying them even when very tempted .. BIG sigh !
Thanks for dropping by my blog : )

  15. Funny to see the asparagus flower and fruit, I have never grown them before so didn’t know what they look like. I also had a miniature rose in my house, but I keep it too warm indoors for the rose so I put the rose outside where it is happier. I mostly have just a lot of orchids now plus a few larger plants. I never take plants inside once they have been outside, I am VERY strict on that and I have never had aphids or spider mites on my indoor plants. I don’t even take flowers from the garden indoors, only exception is daffodils and I rinse them very well under the tap first. I am so afraid of getting diseases on all my orchids so indoor and outdoor plants just have to live separate lives in my house :-)
    Lovely colour on your phalaenopsis!
