There is
something attractive and moving in the blue flowers as:
Scylla,
Chionodoxa,
Iris, Lobelia, Campanula,
Salvia,
Tradescantia, etc. All these
plants are low, modest, appear in early spring or mid summer, but always embellish my garden.Tradescantia is a
wonderful plant. It is completely unpretentious, loves wet soil, but does not
like direct sun.Campanula
is my loved flower since childhood. The delicate bright blue buds open one by
one. They continually bloom till mid summer.
My garden blue Irises
are thickset, their shoots appear after crocuses. Lobelia is completely
unpretentious, decorates beds and containers.
The flower stalks of Chionodoxa show up on the soil surface just after one or two warm days.
Scilla has
small and modest flowers that grow on the high peduncles.
These
flowers made a very bright blue spots in my garden like the particles of the
blue spring sky.
A very lovely picture of birches, makes me miss Russia... I love your blue flowers, especially campanula. Is yours an annual? I didn't know you could grow salvias so far north, do you know which variety yours is? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMasha, my campanula is biennial plant,sometimes grows as a perennial plant multiplies itself.Some kinds of salvias are hardy, mine is Sage Asherah (S. nemorosa). Thank you for reading!

ReplyDeleteSpruge, that birch wood is near our summer cottage. There is a lot of water now because of the melted snow and frozen ground.

DeleteHello Nadezda ! .. yes blue is a beautiful colour in the garden .. and campanula is one of my favourite plants .. it has so many different types in its family .. Birch Hybrid and the Waterfall types are gorgeous .. that last picture is amazing ! So beautiful !!
