At first I visited The Oslo University Botanic Gardens and I really loved it. There are several separate small gardens: herbs garden, grandmother’s garden, systematic garden, rose garden and stone garden.I liked tree peony, they were large bushes with beautiful flowers.
The third one was the Park of the Royal Palace, located in the heart of the city. This park was very peaceful and everyone could enjoy nature or just relax.
After visiting these parks I walked to the Oslo fjord harbor. Also it was night, 11:00 pm, it was clear because of "white" night.

This is a stunning arrangement of photographs Nadezda .. what a beautiful place to walk and look at such gorgeous arrangements of plants, trees , water features .. sculptures are that exclamation point to make you smile too !

Joy, thank you! I loved my tour too, I wanted very much to visit the Botanical garden and take the photos. We have the "white nights" in Saint Petersburg too, because of the same latitude.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you had a chance to travel to Oslo! The botanical park is very lovely and you captured its beauty very well in your photos. I liked the plants as well as the sculptures. Definitely the time of year in Scandinavia, the Baltics and northern Russia that it finally gets dark at midnight but the sun rises again about 3 a.m. and it's bright again :)

Astrid, you're right! We here have the "white nights" too, during the end of May - all June. So we need the thick window curtains to sleep well!!
