Today I want to show you what kind of vegetables I grow in the garden, in greenhouse and in raised beds, so it is easier for me to weed and water greens. Although I found a small place for them.
Lettuce and green onion
Pepper and tomato
Cucumbers
Lettuce "Oak leaf' variety and coriander
Parsley
Squash
Zucchini
Of course, zucchini, pepper and squash have not yet grown big, but I always have salad of lettuce, green onion, parsley, coriander and small cucumbers for lunch.
Berries ripen day by day. I have bushes of gooseberry, black and red currant.

DeleteWhat wonderful veggies. I grew gooseberries but they seem to have been badly afflicted by things which make their leaves curl - I think it is an infestation. I think I need to dig them up.
ReplyDeleteThere are some infections on gooseberry bushes, you're right Jenny. I cut the branches as well.

DeleteOak leaf lettuce is one of my favorites too. We don't grow too many veggies but we do have blackberries, grapes and some herbs. Sometimes I wish I had a big veg garden but I don't seem to have the energy any more.

DeleteI see you grow veg in buckets, what a brilliant idea. I have very stony ground but if I grow vegetables from seed in buckets I can move them around and also put them in the sun. Brilliant, thank you for this tip.
ReplyDeleteFriko, I've seen this method in RHS Wisley garden and I started to grow veggies in buckets too because the soil in my new greenhouse is very wet and poor. I'm glad with it, only cucumbers need more watering.

DeleteQuite the collection you have going on there too! I am still building on the berry garden. The weeds are te most annoying thing to battle. I just started last fall with adding lots of compost and waste from hedges and trees that were chopped up. And trying to smother all out. And the bushes of blueberries and everything are still teenie tiny even in their third year
