Christmas 2020 is approaching. Many of us have a Christmas tree (or buy it) and love to decorate it. I have an artificial tree and old ornaments - from my childhood - and some new ones. These are globs, figurines of animals and children and, of course, figurines of Father Frost (Santa Claus), Snow Girl and Snowman.
Here are New Year decorations with a new design. I think there is always something old about any new design. Houses, snow-covered Christmas trees, Santa Claus, birches, balalaika, children ...
Perhaps 100 years ago, no one could have imagined a figurine of a cow (or calf ?) or something remotely resembling a Christmas tree with lights as ornament :-) Maybe you have new ornaments like these dancers, mittens, nutcracker, hare made of wool, glass, wood, multi-colored fabric.
The last ornament is a sad Santa Claus in a mask, only his sad eyes and raised in surprise eyebrows are visible.
He seems to say:
I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year without "corona", but take care of yourself and your beloved ones.

ReplyDeleteAll the best to you and a Merry Christmas!
DeleteGood morning dear Nadezda,
ReplyDeleteYour ornaments are so lovely. Christmas will be different this year. Our country is in Lockdown. And our wishlist for christmas is short this year. Mine is that we all get the news that Corona will be beauten.
Stay safe in a good health
Rosehugs Marijke
I agree, this Christmas is different, Marijke. Some people will be unable to hug their relatives and friends due to lockdown. My desire is the same as yours for our life to return to its former life.
DeleteDear Nadezda,
ReplyDeletehow lovely, I love theese old ornaments and yours are childhood memories. Isn't that wonderful? Wish you a safe and lovely christmas time.

DeleteOur childhood memories are always with us, aren't they?
Take care, hugs.
Hi Nadezda,
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful Christmas ornaments. I liked very much the first and second ornaments. I like Father Frost a lot :)
Have a nice day, and take care!
You love Father Frost due to the presents he gives you, do you? :-0)
DeleteI love him when isn't too cold here, and I love his gifts as well :-)
Take care!
That is quite a collection you have, Nadezda.
ReplyDeleteThis collection is not too large David.

ReplyDeleteGracias Teresa. La Navidad viene aqui con la nieve.
DeleteYou have a fantastic collection of Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you too!
Thank you Ela,
Deletesure you have yours very beautiful too.
My dear!
ReplyDeleteFor me, the old, worn glass baubles from my childhood are the most valuable. I decorate one Christmas tree with them. The second, large and artificial, I decorate with modern baubles, but bought in a family factory, where they are hand-made in various shapes. Just like the beautiful ones you presented to us.
I wish you much health and peaceful holidays among your loved ones.
Hugs! Anita
Oh, Anita, you have two trees! Sure your old collection of ornaments is valuable, and it keeps your memories.
DeleteI wish you joyful Christmas days and hope the next year will be kind to us.
Надежда ,прекрасные елочные игрушки.И Дед Мороз в маске войдет в историю...
ReplyDeleteЯ думаю, что такие ёлочные игрушки как этот Дед мороз не будут больше висеть на наших елках, Надежда.
Delete

DeleteHi Nadezda,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas ornaments.
The last ornament of Santa Claus is really appropriate.
Bearing in mind the situation that we all go through because of the virus, I wish to you and to your family, as much as possible, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, full of health, joy and love.
A big hug
You're right Maria, the situation is anxious, we all wait for good news about vaccine.
DeleteWish you peaceful Christmas days.
Dear Nadezda!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas decorations, both the old and the new, are beautiful. A doll in a folk costume and a Christmas tree are wonderful.

Thank you RTC!
DeleteAll the best to you.
Lovely ornaments! Many of those are designs I have never seen, and yet they are so very recognisable as Christmas. The final one of santa in a mask is unmistakably 2020. Have you added this to your collection? Have a lovely Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think, Jenny, Santa in a mask is a souvenir of this year but I wouldn't buy it as a new ornament. It's a sad one. Happy Christmas days.
