You're completely right David. Every winter in cold days that is -10 C or lower I feed the birds in my garden. They usually are titmice, jays, magpies, sparrows. I think they wait for my coming there.
What beautiful colours in the miniature you showed and what a lovely art it is. I learned something new from looking at the Wikipedia entry about these beautiful works of art. I have known about Russian icons. It is interesting to read that the icon artists found a new, but similar creative outlet. Now you will need to rug up and keep warm as you watch those very active birds and remember the beautiful golden leaves. Thank you for this lovely post. Betty
Betty, I do love Lacquer miniatures as well, they remind my childhood. I always liked to watch shop windows with many of miniature. You're right the cold season comes and we have to keep in warmth, to wear warm clothes.
Loved that second photo of the ducks on the lake. Almost recognized that soundtrack in your bird feeder video. Think I've heard it in a Julia Roberts movie but again, I couldn't quite catch it. Parts of the northern half of the U.S. have already had snow but down here in the tropics, we are still running the air-conditioning.
When I make videos I try to download there the most popular melodies. This is 'Emmanuelle' by Paul Mauriat, very popular French composer of 20th century. Sure you have heard it. Here was not yet snow, the temps are around +5...+8 C (40...43F) Hugs!

Dimi, you're right the birds are titmice, they are a lot here in winter and I often feed them in cold days. Glad you like the pictures of geese and swans. These birds leave northern areas to fly to South, bur some of them stay here.

What beautiful autumn scenes, and lovely to see the birds. It is so important to feed them during the winter. I loved the "sparkle" effect on the Firebird! I have received Russian Christmas cards sometimes which have a somehow similar effect, very pretty!

It’s great to see you feeding birds like this. I am sure that anthropogenic feeding has helped some species extend their range northwards.
