I'd like to show you my Impatiens (Balsamens or Busy Lizzie). These plants grew and blossomed in my garden in May - September, now they are in the city, enjoying the sun rays through the windows. They are delicate plants and don't winter in the garden. They are three, of different colors.
Impatiens flowers painted in bright colors, develop on the branches in early summer. They attract swarms of insects. According to the shape of the flower, Impatiens are divided into: rose-shaped, camellia-shaped and carnation-shaped.The plant loves warmth and plentiful watering. Now Impatiens is so popular in gardens and homes that new varieties and hybrids are constantly appearing.
My husband used to plant impatiens in pots every spring and we would place them around the house outside as they do well in the shade. I have not been gardening this year as I am still trying to move the GA house. I enjoyed looking at your pretty pictures in Prague, your beautiful flowers and also mushrooms.
Vagabonde, I'm pleased you have read my previous posts. Inpatiens bloom well in a shady place, I agree. Hope you will have finished your moving to the new house by New year.
Your Impatiens are very beautiful. They need a lot of water I guess. I had some of them before, and they was always so thirsty. Nice to have them indoors in October. I have taken my camellias and hortensias indoor in my basement. It's still warm weather here, and 12 degrees yesterday. Have a nice week. Hugs!
We need to transfer tender plants to store inside in our climate, Marit. As you did with your camellias and hydrangeas. My hydrangeas winter in the garden they are hardy. But Impatiens are not :-(. Today is +5 C and forecast snow this week.
Very beautiful, they look so lovely next to each other. hehe I hope my sentences have just a bit of sense. :)) I have this flower, red one. It is on our balcony, real beauty. :) Have a very nice dat dear Nadezda, best regards. :*****
Hola Nadezda, preciosos tus Impatiens, en alguna ocasión los pongo en mi jardín como flor de temporada y también e trabajado con ellas en el vivero. Interesante tu comentario, muchas gracias. Besos.
Nadezda, my mother used to grow them and I have to tell you that I forgot them at all ... but now they are in my focus again. Thank you, yours are looking amazing. Love the colours. Have a wonderful garden (blog) time. All my best Elisabeth
Dear Nadezda! You can be proud of your flowers. You take care of them with such care, because they are beautiful, healthy and bloom profusely. I greet you warmly. Anita
I know them as a house plant, and have never thought to put them into the garden. I'll try next year, and see if they attract lots of bees. When I kept them as houseplants, (years ago) I seem to remember that they flowered constantly.
Nadezda, my Impatiens were good this year too.I hadn't thought about bringing them inside for winter. I don't have any room for them inside. I will definitely get more next year. I love that orange one. One of my favorite colors. Happy GBBD.
Lisa, they do well inside too.If you want to have some more next year you could get cuttings and push them in one pot together for rooting. I love their colors as well.
I haven't had a chance to eat buckwheat porridge. It's very interesting to know when we live in different places, same materials are cooked in different ways. Have a nice weekend.

DeleteAll the best!
I love these flowers, Nadezda! such beautiful colours on yours.
ReplyDeleteI have one white, hope it will survive the winter(inside).

So will I, Ida. The wintertime indoors is difficult for plants, warm, dry air and a bit of light.
