Today I show you my watercolors painted in June-August of this summer. They reflect my impressions on a walk in the park, in the meadow, on the seashore.
Fireweed, meadowsweet, bluebells, chamomile and others bloomed in the meadow.
In the park, in the greenness of the trees, a small pavilion was visible, tall trees gave a pleasant shade.
Sea waves crashed on the shore, rustling over pebbles and large boulders. Sometimes I saw small yachts with white sails.
I usually take a watercolor album, paints and a water can with me. I sketch the landscape in the album. If the weather is cool, I photograph the scenery instead of sketching. Then at home I painted with watercolors on a large sheet of paper. The paper I buy is very thick, made from 100% cotton, and is comfortable to work with.Sometimes I saw small yachts with white sails.

Of course, our climate and weather often coincide, Sara. I especially like to depict the sea when the waves slowly rush onto the shore.
DeleteThis is a very great talent, Nadezda, and I like them all. It always seems to me that the most relaxing of activities must be to spend time by a stream, sketching or painting the scene that unfolds before you, capturing the light, and somehow infusing into the picture the sound of the wind, the taste of the air. Years ago, I led a group of people on a nature trip to Arizona, one of them being a talented watercolourist. She did a wonderful job of a rugged area of the Chiricahua Mountains where we stayed, and it hangs on my wall. I am looking at it right now, as I type this note. The memories of watching her paint it are still vivid today. The pleasure I derive from looking at the painting is endless. Thanks for permitting me this glimpse into your creative world.
