I have to turn on the lights in the garden and the porch at the evenings. White roses beautifully look at night in the darkness. Every morning I have a walk around the garden, greet roses, tear the faded flower buds off, tie long branches, touch large flowers.
Here are some garden roses, different in shape and color:
rose Folklore
rose Golden Showers
rose The Fairy
rose Boys' Brigade
rose Margaret Merrill
rose Pristine
rose The Pride of England
rose Red Cover
rose Red Velvet
I am pleased that many varieties of my roses are well tolerate rain. There were flower buds covered with spots of rain drops, but then flowers were well kept and did not wilt.
Branches of rose Red cover are too thin having a lot of buds so all flowers were lying on the ground after rain. Yesterday I put a support and tied branches. Roses Yellow showers and Pristine have very strong stems and don't bend from the strong wind during a thunderstorm and buds don't fall down.
What wonderful days in summer! Flowers are in bloom, veggies ripen, weeds grow, the weather is hot and the water in tanks is enough.
What about your summer days? Your garden?
What beautiful collection of roses. I love these flowers and their wonderful colors !
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Thank you Ela!
DeleteYour roses are awesome. The color is so striking! In my garden, only the yellowish orange rose that still blooming.

You have a wonderful garden Lucja! Sure your roses will bloom in autumn perfectly, some of mine are preparing to bloom a second time as well.
DeleteThank you!
We are looking for more climbing roses for out garden. We gave Golden Showers, Compassion, White Clod and a red rose that I think is Josephine Bruce. Is Boy's brigade perfumed and disease resistant as we are looking for red/yellow/orange for one fence.
ReplyDeleteI recommend you Boys' brigade, Sue. It's very disease and cold resistant and I also like that the faded buds fall down themselves and it looks nice all the time.
DeleteThank you!
I wonder if it has a different name here as I can't find it at all on the internet.
DeleteSue, it's here:

What an absolutely gorgeous selection of roses, Nadezda! Rose Red Cover is very striking. I've been introducing roses into my garden over the last few years and can't get enough of them now.
ReplyDeleteThis rose Red Cover is new in my garden, it wintered once and successfully, that is very important in our cold climate. It blooms with many bright red flowers about 2 months non-stop. Thank you Paula!
DeleteYou still have a lovely collection of roses in bloom. Here a lot of them have finished flowering, but some of them have formed new buds.
ReplyDeleteSure your beautiful roses will bloom in second wave, Janneke. Mine usually bloom until first frost and then fade.
DeleteThank you!
Such beautiful and colorful roses in your garden dear Nadezda!
ReplyDeleteI have red climbing roses that blooms in Autumn and Winter!
And a bush white rose!Thank you for sharing this beauty!
Have a lovely weekend!
Dimi...
I can imagine how nice to see blooming rose in winter Dimi!
DeleteI'd like to have a bush white rose as well but I think the bush rose need more warm days than we have here in North :((
Thank you!
Nadezda what stunning roses you have....I wish mine were more tolerant of our winter's they barely bloomed this year on stunted canes. It is cooling down already. I hope it warms again for my garden. Lovely to visit!
ReplyDeleteSo do I, Donna! Here the end of August is felt as fall is coming. My roses are long this year, I fed them enough.
DeleteThank you!
You have a very large collection. They are all beautiful, Pristine seems particularly attractive.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alain!
DeleteWhat beautiful roses, and they look so well cared for.
ReplyDeleteThank you Juliet!
DeleteIt sounds like you are having a great summer, your roses are certainly enjoying it! I'd like to get The Fairy because it's nice for picking. It's winter here so I'm picking hellebores and daphne... spring and summer are just around the corner though!
ReplyDeleteYou're right Ruth, spring is coming and you think about new rose, don't you? The Fairy rose is very thankful plant , beautifully blooms and is enough hardy.
DeleteThank you!
Hi Nadeza, Thank you for visiting my blog, A New England Flowerbed. It's nice to meet you :)You're roses are amazing! I love Pristine.......roses are so special. Although I love them, I have been reluctant to grow them because they can be difficult......as I read more and more blogs, I realized that is pretty much a thing of the past. I have 3 rose bushes and 1 climber that I planted this year. I hope they become as beautiful as yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and leaving your comment!
DeleteI think roses are beautiful although they need a lot of care especially in our cold climate.
Wonderful selection of roses! I love Golden Showers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jason!
DeleteWow wow woow..... What an amazing garden! Your roses are impressing me, Nadezda. I love them so much. Thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteYiu're welcome Yang Saya Suka!
DeleteYour roses are very beautiful. They must look gorgeous in your home. I used to have The Fairy years ago in my yard but too many trees grew up and now she is gone. It is funny to think, in a way, that I had The Fairy here in the Deep South of the USA and that you have it in St Petersburg, so far away.
ReplyDeleteI love The Fairy rose as well Vagabonde! It's interesting that this variety of rose can grow in different climates, in South and in North!
Deletethank you!
You have such a beautiful collection of roses, Nadezda!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rose!
DeleteWonderful roses but I like the yellow one for the most!
ReplyDeleteSummer has been hot, in July and in August at least. As you remember, June was cold for both of us. Too cold, I would say. Now it is turning more hectic - with strong winds and occasional showers with thunder. And I can sense autumn coming, which is bit sad.
Oh, yes Tistou! Summer goes away and autumn is in a corner. It's sad, but every season is beautiful. I think my roses as usual will bloom until frost...
DeleteThank you!
Hi Nadezda! How are you?
ReplyDeleteLove your roses! They are wonderful
