Repnikov never learned the art. He is as they say, a nugget. He paints Russian landscapes and urban views, monasteries and palaces, people and streets.
However, people fell in love with his series of humorous pictures.
I've chosen some Repnikov's winter pictures to introduce you to him, the first ones are urban and nature landscapes and then some humorous pictures.
These 'postcards' by the nugget Andrey Repnikov to my friends bloggers!
What picture would you like to choose?
He likes snow doesn't he. I think the first one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteAndrew paints snow as drops, like picture # 10. The first one is idyllic, isn't it Sue?
DeleteA mí me gustan todas. Muchos besos.
ReplyDeleteEstoy contenta, gracias Teresa!
DeleteHello Nadezda, this is the kind of paintings I love - I have not much time for abstract paintings where you have to guess what the motif is - these on the other hand are lovely, descriptive with a touch of humour. Absolutely adorable :-)
ReplyDeleteHelene, this artist is a self taught one, I like his humour pictures as well.
DeleteI l o v e the first four paintings! He has described so well the light in different times of the day and in different weather conditions.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for sharing, Nadezda, and have a lovely February.
For us it will be another cold month, but the days have become already much longer. :)
I especially placed the first four painting in such order, Sara. Glad you understood them, showing different time. The days are longer, you're right and I see it very clearly in the mornings.
DeleteWow, how wonderful paintings! Have a nice evening

ReplyDeleteHa, ha. I noticed this red nose too when have chosen paintings, Sara. Thank you!
DeleteThese paintings are beautiful. The artist has a natural talent. Number four is my favourite - felt like I was standing there. I like the red tram-car, number six. So bright and cheerful in such a snow filled scene. Number eleven made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to know you are not well. Hope you will feel much better soon.
Take care, dear Nadezda.
Hugs, Betty.
The red tram is such bright under falling snow, I like it as well Betty. I'm getting better, thank you and do hope to be ready to the garden season :-)
DeleteEven if this is an artist with no education, this capability is large. I most took fourth from the bottom of the image. Regards.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth picture is of the man, waiting to sweep last snow, is so humorous, thank you Giga!
DeleteMe encantan estas pinturas Nadezda. Esto sí es arte de verdad no lo moderno. Son preciosas parecen reales. Me gusta más la 3ª y los tranvías

ReplyDeleteThe trams are very real things midst lamp lights, fog and snow. I love them as well, Linda.
DeleteI like the pictures of the trams in the snow. I always like to see trams in the snow for some reason, I think it reminds me of some of my childhood years in Germany.
