This is the Spirea variety Grefsheim that has been growing in my garden for many years and was multiply propagated by a piece of a branch pressed into the soill. This is wonderful to see in late spring - early summer, when its small ball-shaped buds open on one warm night. I go to the front garden and see a white bush that looks like a snow one.
Spirea has a high phytoncide activity, which increases its sanitary-hygienic role in improving the environment.
Do you ever grow spirea in you garden? What variety do you love most?
Spirea is really amazing and always when I see it I stop and look at her for a while. I took few photos of this beauty. :) Having it in your garden must be really magical. :)
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing days, warm greetings. :)))
I agree, Agnes, spiraea makes one to stop and to look at it.

Hello Nadezda,
ReplyDeleteGrefsheim is a very beautiful spirea, and very much used here in Norway as well.
My neighbour have very many of them in bloom right now, and I enjoy the sight.
Your neighbors seems propagate Grefsheim, Marit. It's easy to do.
DeleteI saw these plants in a park of Oslo, I loved them and decided to grow in my garden as well.
Hugs!
That's really beautiful flower! I have never seen the real plant here

Angervot ovat todella kauniita kukkiessaan runsaasti. Minulla kasvaa puutarhassamme rinne-, koivu-, keiju- sekä norjanangervoA. Omalla tavallaan ovat mieluisia kaikki.
ReplyDeleteGlad you grow many species of spirea, Kruunuvuokko.
DeleteKiitos.

Dear Nadezda!
ReplyDeleteSpirea is a beauty in the garden showered with white flowers. It has already faded in my garden.
I wish you a lot of health and a nice, happy week:)
Sure your spirea has faded now, Lucja, your climate is warmer than ours :-)
DeleteGreetings!
I also love spirea, Nadezda, your photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove your rose too,
Have a lovely day!
Hugs, Ida
Ida, I'm glad you liked my photos and video.
DeleteHave a nice week!
I love spireas and grow several different sorts. The one you picture here is like ‘The Bride’ which also flowers round about now. I have another one which I love: it has golden leaves in spring, small white flowers a bit later and gorgeous red, orange, yellow leaves in autumn. It is quite wonderful. I have a variegated one too, which I grow for the silver leaves. They are such great ‘workhorses’ and they deserve a place in every garden.
ReplyDeleteYou're a talented gardener, Friko. Sure your spireas are very decorative, I'd like to grow this one with golden leaves that change to red and orange in autumn. I can imagine how beautiful it looks!
DeleteTake care and stay safe, dear.
Hola Nadezda, yo también tengo una en mi jardín, las fotos son muy bonitas. Besos.
ReplyDeleteMe encanta que las dos tenemos esta spirea, Lola.
DeleteUn abrazo!
I have that plant next to the hives, Nadezda, it is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I agree, Tania, this spirea is favorable for bees.
DeleteHugs!
aww...beautiful Spirea..white color so attractive.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing video of white rose in your garden
You're welcome, Tanza.
DeleteHave a nice day!
I love these thick flowered branches of pure white flowers. As much as I love colour in a garden, I think white gives everything a lift and contrast. You make lovely videos with beautiful music.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadezda and stay safe.
Betty ox
Dear Betty,
DeleteI think the white color in a garden looks well especially in half-light, before night fall. Glad you liked my video music, it's by Finnish composer Sibelius.
I have several spireas in my garden Nadezda. I have two different white ones, Spiraea Vanhoutte ‘Wedding Bouquet Spirea’,Spiraea 'Buttons'. Spiraea ‘Gold Flame’and Spiraea x bumalda 'Little Bonnie Dwarf'. They are carefree shurbs that give so much.
