August in the garden!
Now the cheerful phlox
Makes one think of country girls
Fresh in summer frocks.
There you see
magenta,
Here a lovely
white
Mauve, and pink
and cherry-red
Such a pleasant sight!
Smiling little fairy
Climbing up the stem
Tell us which is prettiest?
She says “All of them!

Worlds of phlox flowers and insects, these two worlds intersect, the flowers are food for many insects.
Each of them lives its own life.
Lovely fragrant phlox delight people with their beauty and tenderness.
The butterflies eat nectar, the dragonfly flits easily around my pond where it was born in the spring.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Alicia! I wanted to write my comment on your site, but it was impossible.
DeleteMy garden is also full of phlox right now, they save the day with their bright colours! I love the poem you have chosen to go with your pictures, so cheerful and pretty as is the picture of your butterfly :)
ReplyDeleteRosemary, I'm glad you liked this poem! Every time I read your posts with nice poems, I think: I have to find any poem to go with my photos too!
DeleteThank you Nadezda, poets seem to say exactly what I'm feeling much better than I ever could :)
DeleteYour phlox is beautiful!! I like spiders in my garden, but not in my house. :o)
ReplyDeleteTammy, so do I! These spiders are very small, on a photo you can't imagine their size, they live in my garden with flowers.
DeleteVery pretty, Nadezda. I'm not a fan of spiders but I love the perspective of the webs in these images.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Hilary, I'm glad you as the photographer liked the web perspective.
Deleteoh what wonderful pictures! I love phlox too Nadezda with their heady fragrance.
ReplyDeleteLona, I love to walk by phlox at the evening, their fragrance is stronger. Thank you!
DeleteBeautiful photos Nadezda, with such detail! The dainty phlox flowers are very pretty. Nature is amazing the way insects and flowers depend on each other to survive.
DeleteHope you have a good Friday and an enjoyable week-end.
Betty, thank you! You're right, the flowers and insects depend on each other.
DeleteNadezda I love your phlox pictures as most of mine have faded in the drought. And Cicely Mary Barker's poems and fairies are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteDonna, I'm very sorry the drought was so long time in your garden. This poem "Song of the Phlox Fairy" I found by chance and I loved it. Thank you!
DeleteGreat photography! I miss phlox and its fragrance, the tall phloxes just won't grow here...
ReplyDeleteWhen I feel a strong fragrance I turn my head to find where it's from and see these lovely phlox. I planted them in different places of my garden this spring. Thank you, Masha!
