I am slowly catching up after being away from the computer for a while. I enjoyed looking at your photos of Finland – everything so green. Of course your beautiful flowers are always a treat to look at. You have the most beautiful blooms! Luckily this year our weather in Georgia has been unusual – not too hot and some rain so that all plants and herbs in pots survived while we were away and are still looking good. I also enjoyed the post on the fair you attended – when I go to one I always end up buying a wooden spoon – I should stop as I have so many … I did buy some spoons in my trip to Finland too, as the wood was so pretty.
That's very well you and your potted plants have nice and comfortable weather, Vagabonde. The wooden things as spoons, combs, knives don't let me to pass by as well:0)
I don't have asters, but I do have astilbe. There is something so unique, pretty and dainty about their shape and colour. I always look forward to their blooms!
Hello Nadezda girl ! Your aster are gorgeous ! I don't have many in my garden .. some from last year are sprawling around no flower heads yet. All my astilbe are finished flowering for the season now too ... with our dry weather they are looking a bit fried too .. darn ! I was wondering if you have Queen Anne's Lace there ? .. they grow wild on the sides of some of our roads along with chickory and the solidago . Joy : )
Joy, your flowers are finishing to flower and here the weather has got warmer and many plants continue blooming. You ask about Wild carrot that you call Queen Anne's Lace. Yes, it's growing everywhere with solidago. But chicory does not grow here - it's too cold for it.
Thank you for stopping by Nadezda's Northern Garden blog! I'm glad to read your friendly comments very much. Feel free to comment on the posts or photos I warmly welcome the new followers on my blog.
I love these flowers, especially the Asters!
ReplyDeleteThis year Asters grow and bloom wonderfully despite of cold summer, Janneke.
DeleteLovely astilbe
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Astilbe never do well for me; I don't know why, but I wish they would because I love them.
ReplyDeleteI can say the same, Rose: some years aster seedlings had grown badly and bloomed a little. This summer they are the best.
DeleteI love them, too!
ReplyDeleteThe Asters look so happy and your photos of Astilbe are wonderful. Lovely light and colours.
Stay well!
Thank you Sara!
