Perhaps you are now wondering what Christmas greeting cards to send to your loved ones? This week I started looking for pretty Christmas cards too as I wanted to buy something interesting.
In November, I began to learn the technique of watercolor in online very helpful tutorials. I want to show you my pictures made in watercolors. When I was painting them I could not find the correct shade of paint to depict the snow, and redid the paintings twice.
I added greetings (in English and in Russian) to the files. I also designed greetings in different ways and I think to print the pictures like Christmas cards.
Now I am in doubt whether to buy Christmas cards in the post office or print my drawings. I am critical of my work, I know that they are not professional. What cards do you think I should send?
I'm so happy my Schlumbergera is blooming before Christmas. It decorates my home together with Poinsettia.
WOW wonderful christmas cards, Nadezada. I love your watercolor landscape paintings, you are very talented.

No, I'm not. I just started learning watercolor, Anke
DeleteYour cards are very nice painted indeed, and your family and friends will be pleased to receive them.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Lisbeth
I will send my these Christmas cards when I print them.
DeleteThank you Lisbeth.
Hi Nadezda,
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas cards are all so beautiful. I have a Schlumbergera with the same color as you have who blooms right now. They are very easy to take care of. Pretty Poinsettia too.
Greetings, Marit
Marit, I have a secret on how to make Schlumberger bloom - I don't water it for about 2 weeks :-)
DeleteYour cards are wonderfully done, Nadezda. Send you own creations which are PERFECT because they are your own creation. Don't even consider buying cards when you have this opportunity to show off your talent. Makes me wish I was on your list!!
ReplyDeleteDear David, when I paint better I'll definitely send you one.
DeleteDear Nadezda, to me you are an artist. The cards painted by you are really beautiful and they are much more special than the bought ones. I echo David above: Don't even consider buying cards!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these lovely Christmassy images!
Stay safe and well!
And thank you for your comment today! It's very interesting to learn about the festive and culinary traditions of our neighbouring countries. Some of the tastiest things in our kitchen come from Russia. :)
DeleteAs I probably have written many times, I find fascinating how the word 'кислый' (according to Wikipedia) has spread to other languages. It's 'kiisseli' in Finnish.
🎄✨🥂
Sara, I think that a word 'кислый' is a word 'hapan' in Finnish.
DeleteAnd the Finnish word 'kiisseli' is Russian word 'кисель'. Those two words sound pretty much the same and mean the drink made from fruit or milk.
You're right Sara, I'll pick the one that I think is the best and send it to my relatives.
DeleteThank you for correcting the Russian word. Kiisseli is my favourite dessert. 😊
DeleteGreat cards. You are a artist!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not Anne, I just started studying watercolor.
DeleteBeautiful Christmas cards. When I was a child it was a tradition to send a postcard to friends and family, but unfortunately over time this tradition disappeared. Today I don't receive any postcards and I send only one to my daughter who lives in Macau.
ReplyDeleteMy mother had a plant just like yours, which blooms at Christmas, it's so beautiful.
Have a nice day
I love this plant just like the one your mother had. Its color is delicate, unfortunately the flowers do not bloom for long, Maria.
