I showed you the very small Christmas cactus, it has only 4 branches. Bright amazing flowers have bloomed on each branch. Few buds fell down when I inadvertently turned it, it's a pity.
What a pleasure to see Schlumbergera blossoms before Christmas and New Year.
Do you have a Christmas cactus? Does it always bloom?
The pictures are simply stunning, Nadezda.
ReplyDeleteThank you indeed David.
DeleteYes,I have a Christmas cactus and it is very old,it is five or six years old.It blooms only one time a year, usually in may or june.I love it!Thank you for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Maristella. Sure your Christmas cactus is beautiful in May.
DeleteSo lovely to see Christmas Cactus upclose and personal. These are rarely available in the tropical region in my place. I always wanted to grow something like these but not practical in my zone.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
James, I didn't know this cactus is rare in your place.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
It's very beautiful. I have 4 of them. They have been in bloom all autumn. The flowers were out in the summer. I brought them indoors in September.
ReplyDeleteInteresting Anne, Schlumbergera bloomed in Autumn. I should try to grow it outdoor in Summer too.
DeleteHola Nadezda, me encanta tu navideña cabecera. El cactus está muy hermoso y las fotos son espectaculares. Besos.
ReplyDeleteSí, Lola, cambié la cabecera de mi blog para que parezca más navideño :-)
DeleteEsta precioso Nadezda, los mios no han florecido. Besos y feliz domingo.

DeleteHappy week days to you!
I had one of these for several years, then all of a sudden it died. I don't know what caused it but I haven't been able to grow one since. I love these blooms. I made a small sketch of the last one I had.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your header. It is so cheerful!
DeleteLisa I do not know what happens with Schlumbergera, many years ago I had one, and it also died.
DeleteThis one is still a small flower, but it blooms well.
Glad you liked my Christmas header Lisa, thank you.

Deletete deseo a ti y a Paco muy buenos y felizes dias en Navidad.
I used to have Christmas cactii - maybe it's time to have some again
ReplyDeleteIt's very easy in growth, Sue.
DeleteMany years ago I had one. I loved it and then suddenly I was tired of the brilliant pink, and gave it away. These days my geraniums flower in December if I give them a bit of TLC.
ReplyDeleteI do love geraniums in bloom, Jenny. It's pretty to have blooming geraniums before Christmas, you care them well. Mine are growing new leaves now, I think they will flower in spring.
DeleteLe cose più belle della vita non si trovano sotto l’albero, ma nelle persone che ti stanno vicino nei momenti speciali.
ReplyDeleteBuon Natale!
Grazie, Giancarlo!
DeleteNadezda -- Thank you so much for your cheerful holiday greetings over at my place. Wishing you much prosperity in 2020!
