Traditionally in Russia people purchase gifts to put them under the spruce to relatives and friends at the New year eve.
Therefore, before the New Year night especially in the last days until December 31, you can find many decorations, toys, sweets and gifts in shopping centers. Buying presents to my family is very pleasantly.
The next day after I purchased gifts for my loved ones I went to my garden as I needed to clean there since snowfall was every day all previous week. The weather was cloudy, light snow and temperature was about -1 C(30F).
I show you photos of the woods around the garden and of my little pines with snow those I cleared and decorated.
Happy New 2019 year! The best wishes from Santa and me !
And all the very best to you too. Have a wonderful 2019.

DeleteHappy New year Nadezda. I hope your garden grows a plenty this year. It looks pretty with snow all over it. I can see why you couldn't resist the begonia. It is nice to have a few blooms for winter enjoyment. Yellow roses are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThe begonia is OK at home now, Lisa. Sure it will grow well in the garden.
DeleteHappy New year!
Nice new year tradition to give gifts to loved ones. I like the pretty tea cup and mugs.
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to resist a garden centre, especially in winter (or any time) when there is not much blooming in the garden. Roses and begonia are pretty pastel colours. You will have much joy from begonias indoors.
Thank you and Santa for your good wishes. I like his beautiful blue velvet coat.
The snow looks lovely around bare and green trees. I have to tell you, we expect the temperature to reach 42C in my suburb on Friday. I think I will be needing some of your snow!
Happy days and happy new year to you and your family.
Betty
I agree Betty I enjoy every visit to garden center but it is difficult for my purse :-) I do hope begonia is well indoors. The summer in your place is very hot I remember so I'll send you some snow :-)
DeleteHappy new coming year to you too!

DeleteHi Nadezda, So interesting to see your Christmas snowy garden, so different to the hot sun here. And I've never seen a Santa Klaus dressed in blue but he looks very lovely and friendly, and I wish you and Santa a happy new year!
ReplyDeleteHa ha Sue, this Santa is a Chinese creation :-) The Russian Father Frost (aka Santa Claus) always wears red fur coat. Happy and prosperous new coming year to you too!
